timbers.

"Convergence"
|
The
name is derived from "Deepavali" which is the Hindu festival of lights and
"Mythri" which means friendship.
It is carved from a salvaged Flame She Oak tree trunk and spiraling root system.
|
The piece was carved from Alabaster and Budgeroo with and Ironbark base.
The main source
of Guy's inspiration is derived from the natural shape, texture and colour of the
timber and stone with which he works.
|
Shown below are some of Guy's latest pieces which are usually exhibited
in person at the Maleny Wood Expo, the Sculptors Queensland
Exhibition at Mt
Coot-tha and the Western Downs Regional Arts annual exhibition. His
works can also be found at Bungendore Woodworks Gallery near Canberra,
David Linton's Gallery in Maleny and Murrays Art and Framing Gallery in
Toowoomba and The Good Egg Gallery in Samford, Brisbane.
