Sinana is the Papuan word for Mother.

The traditional people of Papua New Guinea are very natural in their attitude to life.  They are not self conscious about their dress. Most of Guy's sculptures honour the women of that country for their compassion, happiness and beauty.

The style of this sculpture is typical of Guy's art with the unique Budgeroo natural edge enhancing his work.
